COVID-19 NEWS

Temporary Rules | Mask Requirement | Facilities Update

Swimming Pool

The pool is open limited hours and requires that residents sign up in one hour time slots by calling the South Tower desk to book your time. All swimmers must reside at CPE, follow the printed rules, and sign a release. No lounging or gatherings will be allowed at the pool at this time. Those who don’t abide by the protocols will have their pool privileges suspended.

Tennis Court

The tennis court is open for normal play, singles only, guests are allowed for tennis. Sign up in the South Tower for your time and the temporary guidelines for using the court to follow the Covid-19 protocol requirements.

Fitness Center

The gym and sauna will remain closed out of an abundance of caution and will not open until such time as the County of Los Angeles deems such close quartered indoor activities safe.

Everyone must wear face covering

In an effort to keep our residents and staff virus free, CPE is requiring face coverings at all times outside of your unit. You may remove your mask while swimming or during tennis play, but for all other activities outside of your unit, a mask is a must. Also…

  • wash your hands as often as possible
  • keep a minimum 6 foot distance always
  • limit elevator rides to 3 people per car
  • pet rules still apply in elevators and common areas
  • please socially distance while using the dog park

The staff has been instructed to enforce these rules, so please, don’t shoot the messenger!

Some Exciting News...

CPE August bookthattruckWhile we all find ourselves trying to cope with and understand our new normal, we have come up with a little culinary distraction for the residents of CPE.

Beginning next Thursday, and as long as the demand remains, CPE will be offering residents the opportunity to dine from different bespoke, gourmet food trucks. Each truck will offer a unique menu with online ordering and contactless delivery options. From street Thai food to lobster rolls and more, each week will be something different, not to mention convenient.

Book that Truck has set us up with our own website for viewing CPE’s own truck calendar. Place yourself on the e-mail list at the site and receive notice in advance with the name, type of food, and menu offerings.

Pinch of Flavor” will be at CPE 8/27/2020 from 6 to 9 pm.

Visit the CPE truck site or scan the QR code with your smartphone’s camera to learn more and sign up for notifications to your e-mail inbox.

If you have any questions feel free to contact the management office by e-mailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. You will notice that we have installed barriers at the security desks to keep our staff safe, and we ask that you also do your part by maintaining social distancing, wearing your face covering at all times in the common areas, washing your hands often, limiting social gatherings as much as possible, following all rules and guidelines for the common area facilities, self parking your vehicle, if possible, to limit contact, and please, no visitors at this time in the dog park.

For obvious reasons only registered dogs should be visiting the dog park, and human guests should be kept at a minimum, at this time, for social distancing reasons. Please read the dog park rules posted at the gate.

As the year quickly moves forward we are most thankful to management and staff for their dedication to our safety and their commitment to CPE. We have not had any additional reported cases of Covid-19 since early April and we would like to keep it that way. We kindly ask that everyone do their part and continue following the Covid-19 protocols.

Our Board meetings, still being held via Zoom Videoconference for the foreseeable future, happen on the last Tuesday of every month and the Agenda and instructions for owners attending are posted the week prior in the common area bulletin boards.

We ask that everyone please exercise kindness and compassion to your neighbors and staff by following all of the rules that are set up to keep us all safe. Don’t confront rule violators yourself, report them to security or management and allow them to enforce the rules for everyone.

Please feel free to send your questions or concerns or add yourself to the e-mail distribution list by contacting George Lohan at the number above or by e-mailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
