CPE COMMUNITY NEWSTransitioning Back to Normal | |
---|---|
CPE is very excited to begin the transition back to life as we once knew it. We are aware that everyone is fatigued and wants to throw our masks in the trash and go out and party. CPE is still committed to keeping everyone safe and with that we would like everyone to pay attention to the new guidance for the facilities and the common areas for the time being. Keep in mind, this is simply the next step in the transition to normal, is still temporary, yet a big leap from the seemingly endless restrictions we have been living with for well over a year. We are now asking that all residents and guests, vaccinated or not, still wear face coverings in the elevators and the laundry rooms for a short time longer. The pool will now be fully open without reservations for all residents and our longstanding pool rules still apply, with one exception, and that is no guests will be permitted at this time and also for a short time longer. Residents and their family members may swim with the normal limits on weekends, but no friends until further notice. Please understand that with the hotter months upon us, we cannot simply jump in and overcrowd the pool until more of the general population is vaccinated. We ask that all residents work together to follow these temporary guidelines using the honor system along with common courtesy. Everyone loves the CPE pool and safety is our number one priority. The tennis court continues to operate as per usual. Please make your reservations at the South Tower security desk. The gym is now open to all residents without reservations, but with some very important guidelines. All gym visitors MUST sign a waiver prior to using the gym. All non-vaccinated gym visitors MUST wear face coverings. Vaccinated users are not required to wear a mask, though it is still recommended. Once you have finished your workout you MUST wipe down the equipment you have used. There will be no guests or trainers allowed at this time. We also ask that users be mindful of overcrowding by using common sense and strictly abide by all rules, which will be posted at the gym. Anyone that uses the gym without signing a waiver, will lose their gym privileges until such time as they do, no exceptions. Contrary to some of the rumors floating around, Management took no pleasure in closing and keeping closed ANY of the facilities at CPE. We have been closely monitoring all city and county guidance all during the pandemic, and needless to say the information is not consistent, nor is it simple. We have had to navigate these tough choices and have done so with the health and safety of everyone in mind. The litigious nature of a few of your neighbors must not be discounted and was also considered in the decision making process. Ask Management if you want more details. We look forward to everyone getting back to work, back to fun, and back to normal life. We thank you all for your cooperation, patience, understanding, and most of all for being a thoughtful and cohesive community. We are so hopeful for the future and the new Board is already hard at work and planning for the year ahead. We are happy to announce that the parties in the dog park will take place once again on the first Saturday of every month. Anyone that would like to host a party for their pooch on that day is welcome to and should contact the office or speak to Diana Cook or Karen Bleifer. Truck Thursday has been a delicious success and we love all of your feedback, the many vendors are very appreciative of your business and many of you have expressed your enjoyment for the food. To save resources we will not be doing weekly postings about the trucks any longer, however you can place your name on the dedicated e-mail list and be kept informed of what truck will be serving each week, offer you the ability to order online, and pay; all from the comfort of your unit. Due to the massive increase in vehicle traffic in the motor court, the trucks are now being located at the service entrance driveway just past the dog park. You may call valet and ask them to deliver your food if you don’t care to stroll down the street. Visit www.streetfoodfinder.com/CPEHOA and sign up for the mailing list and you can plan your Thursday meals for the future. A special thank you to Book That Truck for keeping us fed. The Management Office is now open for regular business, we do request wearing a face covering while visiting the office. We are still updating our database and would love to have everyone’s e- mail address. Please consider e-mailing For the time being and until further notice we will still be conducting our monthly Board Meetings via Zoom video conference. Meetings take place on the last Tuesday of every month and the Zoom information is posted the week prior to the meeting in all of the common area bulletin boards. For owners who are not already on our e-mail list for required statutory mailings, please consider adding your name to this list to save resources for the association and receive all general mailings normally sent out by first class mail in digital form. E-mail Lastly, CPE has social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter, which are helpful resources for residents and owners, providing alerts and important information in real time. Consider following us on Facebook—Century Park East Homeowners Association or on Twitter @CPEHOA for up to the minute CPE information. |
